Our grading service allows us to evaluate the originality and condition of your object in order to authenticate it.
A rigorous certification process
Our experts follow a rigorous set of procedures and handling to ensure that each item is inspected meticulously and impartially.
Each object is analysed in more than 20 points by our experts and they ensure that it is authentic and not counterfeit. After the analysis, they rate the object on a scale of 10.
At Canadian Acrylic Display, at least two experienced assurance professionals are involved in the analysis of each object. In some cases, a third expert may be called upon to participate in the process.
Protection of the article
Certified items are then carefully placed and sealed inside our Canadian-designed acrylic enclosures that provide protection against ultraviolet (UV) rays. Our cases help preserve the object’s current condition for years to come.
We have also developed a new method for sealing our boxes. In addition to being glued on 3 sides, we affix a protective sticker to the back to prevent air from entering and damaging the object with the glue residue that often overflows inside.
Certification
A serial number and a hologram are assigned to each of the certified parts. They are stored for life in a database that also contains a description of the object, the experts’ evaluation notes, a barcode and the hologram attesting to the authenticity of the object. This information can be very useful in case of loss or theft.
A certification provides instant added value to a collectible and increases buyer confidence.
